The Tanzania Digital Fisheries Trade & Market Linkages Forum 2026 has brought together key stakeholders from government, academia, the private sector, development partners and the fisheries industry to explore innovative digital solutions for strengthening fisheries trade and market linkages.
Held at the University of Dar es Salaam, the two days forum focused on the theme
"Unlocking Digital Trade, Strengthening Market Linkages, and Promoting Sustainable Growth in Fisheries Value Chains."

Participants exchanged knowledge, showcased innovations and discussed opportunities for expanding market access through digital technologies, including the TanFish Marketplace platform.

The event also provided a platform for networking, business partnerships and collaboration among fishers, traders, processors, exporters, financial institutions and technology providers, all working towards a more competitive and sustainable fisheries sector.

The forum concluded with renewed commitment to accelerating digital transformation in Tanzania's fisheries value chain and promoting inclusive economic growth through stronger market connections.
